Six months before the wedding, Bianca began working quietly with a private estate consultant named Thomas Reid.
Not Alessandro’s regular lawyer.
Not the family trustee.
A consultant introduced through Bianca’s cousin.
The idea was aggressive but not necessarily illegal on its face.
Create a new management company.
Transfer certain operational rights from the estate trust into that company.
Then give Bianca a large ownership interest in the management entity after marriage.
She would not own the underlying land directly.
But she could gain enormous practical control over:
Events.
Leases.
Staffing.
Renovations.
Commercial use of the west wing.
The wedding venue itself.
Bianca called that being “the new owner.”
Technically inaccurate.
Emotionally revealing.
