To defeat a powerful Pentagon general, Evelyn needed undeniable physical evidence. Remote hacking could not completely help them, because Hayes was an old-school commander. He kept his dirtiest secrets locked in a physical, guarded safe.

Evelyn utilized the deep intelligence network she had quietly cultivated decades ago. It took forty-eight agonizing hours to discover that Hayes frequently visited an isolated, off-the-grid military bunker located in the dense woods.

"He hides his operational ledgers and extortion recordings there," Vance analyzed, pointing to the satellite map projected on the large screen. "But this bunker uses a closed-circuit security system. It cannot be hacked remotely. We must break in directly."

Evelyn stared at the screen. Breaking into a general's fortified bunker carried massive risks. If caught, her entire tactical empire would collapse instantly, and she would face decades in a federal black site.
