Chapter 1 - The Collapsed Child

The grand luxury dining room of the American mansion was a cinematic display of extreme wealth and absolute, terrifying power. Massive crystal chandeliers glowed warmly above a long mahogany table draped in a pristine white tablecloth.

Sitting around the table were seven highly imposing, heavily armed men in dark suits—the most ruthless capos of the city's reigning mafia syndicate. At the head of the table sat their boss, Frank Moretti. He was a fiercely handsome, untouchable man in his forties wearing a sharp charcoal suit and tie.

But right now, the absolute terror of the criminal underworld was completely paralyzed by a father's worst nightmare.

Sitting in the elegant dining chair right next to Frank was his seven-year-old son, Lucas. The little boy in the small dark suit was incredibly pale, sweating profusely, and completely exhausted. He had been sick for three days, and the private estate doctors claimed it was just a severe stomach flu.

Suddenly, Lucas’s small hand violently trembled. He knocked his heavy crystal glass of milk right off the edge of the table.

The glass shattered loudly on the polished marble floor. A thick white puddle of spilled milk dripped off the mahogany edge.

Before Frank could even react to the spill, Lucas’s eyes rolled back. The little boy completely collapsed, his fragile body falling lifelessly into his father's arms.
