Chapter 24 - the boutique ambush
Despite the looming threat, life had to continue. Marisol and Daisy had an exclusive, private appointment at a luxury bridal boutique in the heart of the city for the final dress fitting. Caleb’s elite security team secured the entire perimeter.
Marisol stood on the pedestal, the delicate lace of her wedding gown cascading perfectly to the floor. Daisy sat on a plush velvet sofa, clapping happily as she admired her beautiful mother.
Suddenly, a massive, deafening crash shattered the peace. A heavy, armored truck plowed violently through the front glass windows of the boutique, sending shards of glass and expensive mannequins flying across the showroom floor.
Six heavily armed mercenaries wearing tactical gear poured out of the back of the truck, firing warning shots into the ceiling. The boutique staff screamed in sheer terror, dropping to the floor.
Victor Thorne had orchestrated a chaotic, daylight ambush, attempting to overwhelm Caleb's security detail and kidnap Marisol to use as the ultimate leverage.
