Chapter 37 - the light restored

The sun rose over Boston, casting a brilliant, golden light over the city. Noah walked into the Carter Medical Foundation headquarters, greeted by the thunderous applause of the doctors and researchers who had just regained access to their life-saving work.

Emily was waiting for him in his office. When Noah walked in, she threw her arms around his neck, hugging him with all the fierce, unconditional love a mother could possibly hold.

"You saved them, Noah," Emily whispered, tears of profound relief sliding down her cheeks. "You protected everything we built. I am so incredibly proud of the man you have become."

Noah hugged her back tightly, resting his chin on her shoulder. "I only did what you did for me fifteen years ago, Mom. I fought for the people who couldn't fight for themselves."

The arrest of Marco Falcone made national headlines, exposing his massive cyber-terrorism network. The Carter family emerged completely victorious, their reputation stronger and more unassailable than ever before in history.
