Chapter 27 - the king's wrath

Back at the fortified estate, Marisol and Daisy were secured in the central panic room, guarded by the most elite operatives. Caleb walked into his underground command center, stripping off his suit jacket, his face an impenetrable mask of pure vengeance.

Marcus had successfully captured the mercenary Marisol had incapacitated with the brass lamp. The man was tied to a steel chair, bleeding and terrified, realizing he was sitting in the lair of the city's most feared syndicate boss.

Caleb didn't yell. He stood quietly in front of the bleeding mercenary, radiating a dark, suffocating energy that made the air in the room feel heavy and freezing.

"Where is Victor Thorne?" Caleb asked, his voice dangerously soft and completely devoid of mercy.

The mercenary hesitated, bound by criminal loyalty. But one look into Caleb's dead, calculating eyes completely shattered his resolve. The terrifying mafia boss didn't need physical torture to extract information; his reputation alone promised a fate worse than death.

"The old shipyard. Warehouse seven," the mercenary stammered, weeping pathetic tears of absolute terror.
