Chapter 77 - the final purge

The federal marshals violently hauled the hardened mercenaries out of the ruined foyer, securing them in heavy steel chains. The lead agent approached Harrison and Chloe with an expression of profound, overwhelming respect. "We have Julian's communication logs from the prison," the agent reported. "This was his last hidden asset. We are transferring him to a maximum-security black site immediately. He will never see the sun or touch a phone again." Harrison nodded slowly, the heavy, agonizing burden of his brother's endless malice finally, permanently lifting from his broad shoulders. Chloe holstered her weapon and ran back up the stairs, rushing into the secure residential wing. Her husband and children were waiting safely behind the titanium doors, entirely unharmed. She dropped to her knees, pulling her family into a desperate, crushing embrace, sobbing with absolute relief.
