Chapter 1 - The Titanium Vault

The grand luxury American penthouse was a breathtaking, cinematic display of absolute wealth and untouchable power. The massive living room was bathed in bright, flawless interior lighting, illuminating a crowd of wealthy, heavily armed guests gathered for a high-stakes syndicate meeting. But the sophisticated atmosphere had violently shifted into a suffocating, lethal interrogation.

At the center of the room stood Alexander, the thirty-something mafia boss. He was a towering, heavily muscled man wearing a tailored black shirt that barely concealed the dark, intimidating tattoos creeping up his neck.

Alexander stood directly in front of a massive, open titanium wall vault.

Standing right beside him, trembling violently, was Elena. The beautiful twenty-something woman wore a crisp gray maid uniform, her brunette hair completely disheveled as absolute panic destroyed her composure. Clinging tightly to Elena’s leg was her three-year-old daughter, Lyla, an innocent little girl with curly dark hair and a pretty purple dress.

Alexander and Elena were staring inside the massive safe in pure, unadulterated shock. Millions of dollars in cash were stacked neatly on the shelves, but sitting directly in the center of the money was a single, delicate silver heart-shaped locket.

Suddenly, tiny three-year-old Lyla pointed her chubby finger excitedly toward the titanium safe.

"Mommy!" Lyla cheered brightly, her sweet voice echoing across the dead-silent room. "That's like the necklace in your little box!"

👉 Alexander’s blood ran completely ice-cold as he heard the toddler's impossible, devastating observation.
