Chapter 2 - The Missing Sister

The cinematic realism of the terrifying tension completely paralyzed the grand penthouse.

A medium close-up captured Alexander slowly, mechanically turning his head to look down at the trembling housekeeper. The lethal, untouchable apex predator completely vanished. All the color violently drained from his face, leaving his sharp jawline looking like a pale ghost.

"What necklace?" Alexander whispered, his deep voice cracking with a terrifying, breathless frequency.

A tight close-up focused entirely on Elena. She frantically shook her head, tears of pure, agonizing terror burning her eyes. She covered her mouth, utterly unable to speak, knowing she was standing on the absolute edge of a multi-million-dollar execution.

Lyla, completely oblivious to the apocalyptic danger in the room, looked innocently up at the towering mafia boss.

"Mommy," Lyla asked sweetly, tugging on the gray maid uniform, "why do you call that lady Uncle Alexander's sister?"

Alexander physically stopped breathing. The bright interior lighting suddenly felt completely suffocating.

To understand the sheer, bone-chilling horror freezing Alexander’s veins, one had to look at his tragic history. Alexander had spent the last five years aggressively, ruthlessly tearing the criminal underworld apart, desperately searching for his younger sister, Sofia. She had vanished without a trace after a rival cartel ambushed their family home.
