Chapter 4 - The Wealthy Wife

The heavy glass door of the bakery violently swung open, letting in a gust of cold winter air.

Stepping into the bright, warm shop was Victoria, Theo’s wealthy, arrogant wife. She was a stunning thirty-something woman wearing a massive, wildly expensive white fur coat and a heavy diamond wedding ring. She looked around the rustic bakery with pure, unfiltered disgust.

"Theo, what is taking so long?" Victoria demanded aggressively, her high-society voice echoing across the wooden shelves. "I told you I wanted a latte, not a conversation with the local charity cases."

Victoria marched up to her husband, stopping right next to him in her white fur. She looked down at Naomi's simple teal coat and the two boys in their cheap, faded jackets with a toxic, mocking sneer.

"Excuse me," Victoria snapped at Naomi. "Can you move your little brats out of the way? We actually have places to be."

Theo physically staggered backward, his dark suit wrinkling as his knees buckled. He aggressively grabbed his wife's arm, desperately trying to pull her away.

"Victoria, shut up," Theo panicked loudly, sweat actively pouring down his forehead. "We're leaving right now."

"Don't tell me to shut up!" Victoria shrieked wildly, violently yanking her arm away. She glared at Naomi. "Do you know who we are?! My husband is the CEO of the Sterling Corporation!"

Naomi didn't flinch. She looked at the arrogant, wealthy wife with a chilling, victorious smirk.

"I know exactly who your husband is, Victoria," Naomi whispered smoothly.

👉 Naomi reached into her purse, entirely ready to detonate a nuclear bomb on the billionaire's perfect marriage.
