Chapter 6 - The Ultimate CEO

Adrian’s fingers flew across his smartphone screen with frantic, desperate speed. He completely ignored Vanessa, pulling up the highly encrypted legal documents for the Vanguard proxy firm that his company had just wired eight hundred million dollars to.
He scrolled aggressively past the boilerplate corporate text, his eyes hunting for the primary shareholder declarations.
When he found the page, his breathing completely stopped.
The CEO, absolute majority shareholder, and primary beneficiary of the proxy firm was not a faceless tech conglomerate.
It was his wife.
“You...” Adrian choked out, his voice cracking into a breathless, horrified whisper. He looked up from his phone, staring at the woman in the pale-blue dress as if she were a terrifying ghost. “You own Vanguard?”
Vanessa let out a high-pitched, panicked gasp. “What?! Adrian, that’s impossible! She’s a nobody! I vetted the proxy firm myself!”
“You spent eight months in London, Adrian,” his wife explained calmly, entirely immune to their panic. “While you were sleeping with your Vice President and ignoring your marriage, I took the small business loan you gave me three years ago and aggressively scaled it. I bought the Vanguard patents six months ago for a fraction of the cost. And today, your brilliant Vice President just bought them from me at a five-hundred-percent markup.”
The sheer, apocalyptic magnitude of her genius hit the room like a physical shockwave. She hadn't just survived his cruel abandonment; she had flawlessly, legally gutted his corporate empire and amassed nearly a billion dollars in clean, untraceable capital.
She wasn't a victim. She was an absolute, unmatched titan.

“You stole from us!” Vanessa shrieked wildly, completely losing her mind. She pointed a trembling finger at the wife. “You see, Adrian?! I told you she was a thief! She’s been manipulating your accounts this entire time!”
👉 His wife finally reached for the leather folder, preparing to execute the mistress with undeniable proof.
