Chapter 7 - The Lethal Command

Silas didn't blink. He didn't yell. The terrifying, cinematic realism of his sheer, unbreakable calm was far worse than any violent outburst.

He looked at Veronica, truly seeing the treacherous, manipulative parasite standing in front of him. He slowly extended his heavily tattooed hand across the pristine white tablecloth, his palm facing upward. His expression was stern, unforgiving, and completely lethal.

"Silas, darling, you can't possibly believe this peasant over your own fiancée," Veronica stammered, her voice shaking uncontrollably as tears of pure panic welled in her eyes. "He's making it up to save himself! Please, let's just go home!"

She tried to step backward, but Silas’s elite, heavily armed enforcers had already detached themselves from the shadows of the ballroom, stepping silently behind her chair, completely blocking any chance of escape.

Silas stared directly into her terrified eyes.

"Take off the glove," Silas commanded. His voice was cold, demanding, and resonated with an absolute authority that paralyzed her.
