Chapter 3 - The Arrogant Demand

Sienna aggressively stomped up the wooden steps of the porch, getting directly into Elliot's face.

To understand the absolute, unhinged entitlement of the daughter-in-law, one had to look at the last five years of her marriage to Elliot's son, Mark. Sienna completely controlled Mark's finances, aggressively forcing him to pay for her parents' lavish vacations while treating Elliot like absolute garbage. She genuinely believed that because her husband was Elliot's son, she automatically owned everything Elliot ever touched.

"Are you serious right now?!" Sienna roared aggressively, her face turning violently red.

She pointed violently toward the large glass windows of the cabin.

"Your son makes six figures!" Sienna shrieked hysterically. "We deserve to use this property! If you're not going to let us stay, then sell the cabin! Stop being selfish!"

Elliot didn't yell back. His quietness was infinitely more terrifying.

"You think my son bought this cabin?" Elliot asked softly, crossing his arms over his worn brown leather jacket.

"Of course he did!" Sienna scoffed loudly, dramatically rolling her eyes. "You're just a retired mechanic! You couldn't possibly afford a two-million-dollar lakefront property on your pathetic pension! Mark bought this, which means it legally belongs to me!"

👉 Elliot stared at the arrogant woman, entirely ready to drop a nuclear bomb on her high-society illusion.
