Chapter 9 - The Final Warning

"You won't get a single dime," Elliot stated clinically, entirely devoid of human warmth. "Because if you contest this divorce, Mark will aggressively press federal charges for the embezzlement. You will spend the next twenty years in a maximum-security penitentiary."

Sienna physically collapsed to her knees on the sharp gravel driveway, her expensive cream trousers completely ruined by the dirt. She was completely stripped of her fake wealth, her arrogant pride, and her untouchable power.

"Sienna, get in the car right now!" Gordon yelled frantically from the driver's seat of the SUV. "We have to call our lawyers before they freeze our accounts!"

Beverly was already crying in the passenger seat, absolutely terrified of losing her country club status.

Elliot stood firmly on the top step of his beautiful wooden porch. He didn't look like a victim. He looked like an absolute, untouchable titan who had flawlessly protected his son from a toxic parasite.

He firmly extended the blue folder one last time, looking directly into Sienna's frightened, ruined eyes with cold, unwavering authority.
