Chapter 15 - The divorce mandate

Margaret finally stepped into the grand entryway of the penthouse, radiating the undeniable, crushing authority of an apex predator. She looked down at her weeping, pathetic son with absolute, freezing apathy. She didn't offer him a warm hug. She didn't offer him a single word of maternal comfort or reassurance. Instead, she ruthlessly tossed a thick, legally binding document onto the marble floor directly in front of him. It wasn't a financial bailout check to save his marriage. It was a flawlessly drafted divorce petition, accompanied by the undeniable, verified evidence of Vanessa's massive charitable embezzlement. Margaret delivered a terrifying, absolute mandate. Daniel would sign the divorce papers immediately and cooperate entirely with federal investigators to send his wife to prison, or he would be permanently, irrevocably disinherited and thrown out onto the street with absolutely nothing to his name. Daniel stared at the papers, his hands trembling violently as he processed the reality. He had absolutely no choice left. His cowardice had permanently trapped him in a corner.

👉 Daniel slowly uncapped a heavy gold pen, signing his name and permanently executing his own toxic, fraudulent marriage.
