Chapter 19 - The fallen son

With the toxic, parasitic element permanently excised from their lives, Margaret turned her cold, calculating attention back to her cowardly son. Daniel was summoned to the penthouse, looking completely broken, entirely expecting to be welcomed back into his mother's luxurious, wealthy embrace now that his wife was gone. He was devastatingly wrong. Margaret stood tall, radiating absolute, unbreakable power. She informed Daniel that his massive trust fund was permanently dissolved. He was officially cut off from the Whitmore corporate fortune forever. If he wanted to eat, he would have to work like everyone else in the real world. Margaret ruthlessly assigned him an entry-level, minimum-wage position in the resort's underground laundry facility. He would spend his days scrubbing dirty luxury linens, entirely stripped of his tailored suits, expensive watches, and elite privileges. If he quit, he would be permanently disowned. Daniel physically staggered backward, realizing the absolute, terrifying magnitude of what his cowardice had cost him.
👉 Daniel slowly walked down to the humid, suffocating basement, finally learning the true, painful price of basic human respect.
