Luca didn't waste a single second. He pulled out a secure, encrypted phone, dialing a number he hadn't used in five years. He was contacting his elite, off-the-books shadow operatives—men who operated entirely outside the law to ensure the family's survival.
"Lock down all foundation servers," Luca commanded Maya. "Do not let Marcus know we have found the discrepancy. Let him think his operation is still completely invisible."
Maya nodded, her fingers flying across the keyboard to build a digital firewall that would trap Marcus in his own deception.
That evening, Marcus arrived at the grand Moretti estate, wearing an expensive tailored suit and an arrogant, confident smile. He believed he was utterly untouchable, entirely unaware that he was walking straight into a perfectly orchestrated death trap.
