Chapter 28 - the final strike
With blinding, athletic speed, Maya executed a flawless tactical maneuver. She violently twisted her torso, breaking Kovac's iron grip, and drove her elbow fiercely into the warlord's ribs, knocking the weapon completely off target.
That single microsecond was all Luca needed. The apex predator exploded into motion. He didn't reach for his gun on the floor; he drew his concealed combat knife with terrifying, cinematic speed.
Before the surrounding mercenaries could even pull their triggers, Luca closed the distance. He neutralized two guards with brutal, bone-crushing strikes, seamlessly shielding Maya from the chaotic crossfire with his own body and speed.
Kovac stumbled backward in pain, raising his weapon to fire directly at the young executive. But Luca was already there. With a devastating, perfectly calculated strike, Luca disarmed the warlord and drove him violently to the marble floor, completely paralyzing him.
