Chapter 1 - The Bathroom Clash

The luxury bathroom of the Boston mansion was suffocatingly hot, filled with thick steam rolling off the tiled shower. Inside, Massimo Pascale—the heavily tattooed, terrifying Boston mafia boss—sat in a sleek black wheelchair, shirtless with a dark towel draped over his lower body. His dark wet hair clung to his forehead, and a fierce, unyielding fury radiated from his sharp jawline and light stubble.

Standing behind him was Tessa Fitzgerald, a 27-year-old neurological rehabilitation therapist with dark hair tied into a messy bun, wearing a fitted navy caregiver uniform with white piping and a light gray apron.

Without warning, Tessa firmly gripped the push handles and pulled the wheelchair directly toward the shower stall.

Massimo’s reaction was explosive. He suddenly locked both hands onto the wheels, violently stopping the chair with a harsh screech against the tiles. He twisted his broad shoulders around, his dark eyes blazing with pure menace.

"I'M NOT GOING!" Massimo roared, his voice echoing off the marble walls.

Tessa didn't flinch. She reached right back out for the wheelchair handles to override him.

With a brutal shove, Massimo lashed out, sending Tessa flying backward onto the cold tiled floor.
