Chapter 2 - Unshakable Resolve

The breath rushed out of Tessa's lungs as she hit the floor, but panic didn't set in—only a cold, hardened resolve.
She immediately pushed herself back to her feet, wiping a streak of water from her gray apron. Ignoring the pain in her palms, she marched straight back toward the wheelchair, her brown eyes locking fiercely onto his muscular frame.
"Stop acting like a child," Tessa snapped angrily, her voice cutting through the steam.
Massimo slammed one massive, heavily tattooed hand against the wheelchair armrest, glaring up at her like a cornered beast ready to kill.
"You think you can force me?" Massimo threatened, his deep voice dripping with lethal warning.
Tessa didn't blink. She smoothly stepped directly behind the wheelchair, reached down, and sharply locked both safety brakes. Then, she walked around to the front, planting herself inches away from his face, completely invading his space.
Massimo stared up at her, entirely stunned that a petite woman in a caregiver uniform refused to back down from Boston's most feared criminal.
Tessa leaned forward, narrowing her eyes, and pointed one steady finger directly at Massimo’s face. Massimo went completely still, his breath catching in his throat.

"One—you go willingly," Tessa said coldly, her voice echoing in the quiet room. "Two—I make you go."
👉 Massimo had met his match, but the rehabilitation battle was only a symptom of a much darker war waiting outside the bathroom door.
