Chapter 15 - the ghost's strategy

Damon stared at the glowing blue hologram of the enemy fortress. "Your breach point is entirely wrong," Damon stated, his voice incredibly low, precise, and echoing with absolute, titanium authority.
The arrogant lieutenant frowned. "With all due respect, sir, satellite imaging shows that the eastern wall has the weakest structural integrity. It's the textbook entry point."
"They want you to hit the eastern wall," Damon countered, entirely devoid of ego. "The compound was designed by a former Soviet engineer. The eastern wall is a fatal kill zone. If you breach there, they will funnel your squad into a crossfire corridor and detonate the primary support beams."
The room fell into absolute, suffocating silence as the tactical operators processed the horrifying reality of the trap they had almost walked into.
"How do we get inside?" the commander asked, looking at Damon with immense respect.
"You don't breach the walls," Damon instructed, tracing a new path on the hologram. "You utilize the underground aqueduct system. It hasn't been active for a decade, but it leads directly to the subterranean holding cells where they are keeping the hostages. You bypass their entire perimeter silently."
