Chapter 6 - The Digital Evidence

"I'm... I'm sorry!" Blake choked out, tears of pure, humiliating panic streaming down his face. "I'm sorry, Evan! I shouldn't have hit you that hard!"

Damon held the terrifying eye contact for exactly three more seconds, ensuring the arrogant bully’s soul was completely broken.

Then, Damon calmly released his grip. He stood up, turning his back on the gasping instructor, and walked back over to his son.

Damon knelt down, picked up his battered work boots, and gently helped Evan to his feet. "Let's go home, buddy," Damon said softly, his voice returning to the gentle tone of a loving father.

But as they walked toward the exit, the heavy double doors of the gymnasium burst open.

The owner of the dojo, an older, wealthy businessman named Mr. Sterling, stormed into the room. He had been watching the security cameras from his upstairs office.

"What is going on down here?!" Mr. Sterling roared, looking at his star instructor writhing on the mat, and then glaring furiously at Damon. "You attacked my lead instructor! I am calling the police right now and pressing charges for assault!"

Blake immediately sat up, his toxic ego flaring back to life. "Yes! Have him arrested! He came onto the mat and attacked me unprovoked!"

Damon stopped walking. He didn't look afraid.

He slowly turned around, his piercing blue-gray eyes locking onto the wealthy owner.

"You can call the police, Mr. Sterling," a rough, authoritative voice echoed from the bleachers.
