Chapter 7 - The Veteran's Verdict

Walter stepped onto the hardwood floor, projecting the undeniable presence of a man who had seen real combat.
He walked directly up to Mr. Sterling and held the glowing screen of his smartphone up for the owner to see.
"I recorded the entire thing," Walter stated coldly. "Including the part where your star instructor intentionally, brutally kicked a thirteen-year-old boy in the ribs long after the sparring session was supposed to stop. And I recorded your instructor throwing the first punch at this boy's father."
All the color violently drained from Mr. Sterling’s face. He looked at the video, completely horrified by the undeniable liability he was watching.
"I already sent the video to the state martial arts licensing board," Walter continued, his voice echoing through the silent gym. "And I forwarded it to the local news station. You don't have an assault case, Sterling. You have a massive child endangerment lawsuit on your hands."
Blake physically staggered backward on the mat. "No! You can't do that! I'm a five-time state champion! You'll ruin my career!"
"You ruined your own career the second you bullied a child to feed your pathetic ego," Walter replied, completely devoid of any sympathy.
Mr. Sterling looked at Blake in absolute disgust.
"You're fired, Blake," the owner commanded sharply. "Pack your bags and get out of my gym before I call the police on you myself."
