Chapter 35 - the invisible snare

The Phantom hackers greedily continued their digital assault, completely unaware they were being brilliantly outmaneuvered. As they bypassed Maya's intentionally weakened secondary firewall, the rogue algorithm flooded into a trap.

It was a highly contained, isolated server mimicking the conglomerate's primary offshore bank accounts. The Syndicate thought they had won the war. Instead, the trap snapped shut with devastating finality.

Maya’s viral counter-code didn't just lock the Phantom virus out; it violently surged back through its own connection. It systematically overloaded and destroyed the expensive hardware of the Syndicate's network in seconds.

"We have their physical location, Maya," Leo announced, his voice ringing with absolute, triumphant authority. "The authentication server is located in a heavily fortified military bunker hidden deep in the snowy mountains of Switzerland."
