Chapter 1 - The High Kick

The heavy, torrential rain poured violently outside the open double doors of the grand luxury mansion, but the atmosphere inside the entrance hall was completely, suffocatingly tense.

A massive, custom-made birthday cake lay entirely smashed and ruined across the pristine black-and-white marble floor. Standing over the mess was Vanessa. The billionaire's fiancée wore a plunging dark blue gown, her blonde wavy hair perfectly styled, and her face twisted into a mask of pure, toxic rage.

"You clumsy, worthless trash!" Vanessa shrieked, her voice echoing off the crystal chandeliers.

Without hesitation, Vanessa aggressively raised her manicured hand, fully intending to slap the drenched delivery girl across the face in front of fifty high-society guests.

But I am not just a delivery girl.

My name is Avery. I am twenty-seven years old, and I have spent the last ten years turning my body into a lethal weapon.

With blinding, cinematic lightning speed, I dropped my center of gravity. I didn't flinch. I didn't cower. I pivoted on my wet heel and delivered a devastating, powerful martial arts high kick straight toward Vanessa’s face.

My foot stopped exactly one millimeter from her nose. The sheer kinetic force and the sudden, terrifying shift in the air caused Vanessa to lose her balance in her designer heels. She shrieked in absolute terror, crashing hard onto the marble floor, her expensive blue gown sliding into the ruined cake icing.

I slowly lowered my leg, my dark wavy hair falling from its messy ponytail.

"Don't touch me again," I whispered, my voice low, steady, and incredibly dangerous.

👉 The wealthy guests gasped in sheer horror, but the true disaster was the secret object that had just slipped out of my dress.
