Chapter 32 - the invisible attack
Avery was sitting working in the glass study when thick darkness suddenly swallowed the entire tower. The backup generator system was not activated, a clear sign that the system had been hijacked from the outside.
Without panicking or screaming, Avery calmly opened a secret drawer under her desk. She pulled out an independently encrypted military-grade tablet. With the skills of a former security director, she instantly bypassed the firewall to access the cameras.
Dominic stepped quickly into the room, holding an armored handgun. The billionaire's face was as cold as a floating iceberg. They immediately coordinated together like a perfect and incredibly deadly combat machine.
"This is not a physical attack, Dominic," Avery reported, her fingers gliding across the screen at a dizzying speed. "They have infiltrated the central server and are encrypting all the core energy project data."
