Chapter 14 - the silent strike

Dante did not declare an open war. He didn't send heavily armed hitmen to flood the streets of New York with blood. The mafia boss utilized his absolute, crushing power with terrifying, surgical precision.

Armed with the devastating information from the red ledger, Dante systematically dismantled the massive Rossi family's infrastructure in a single, flawless night.

He anonymously leaked the names of their corrupt politicians directly to the FBI director, triggering immediate, highly publicized federal raids. He directed his elite hackers to completely freeze the Rossi's offshore bank accounts, plunging their empire into immediate, catastrophic bankruptcy.

He hijacked their illegal, multi-million-dollar arms shipments at the docks, completely stripping them of their heavy firepower.

The Rossi family woke up the next morning completely paralyzed. Their vast wealth was gone, their political protection had vanished, and their weapons were in Dante's hands. He had executed a perfect, bloodless coup.

Dante sat in his luxurious office, slowly swirling a glass of expensive bourbon, waiting for the inevitable phone call.

When the secure line finally rang, it wasn't an arrogant, metallic threat anymore. It was the desperate, pathetic, pleading voice of the Rossi patriarch, begging the Chicago king for a peaceful negotiation.
