Chapter 23 - the poisoned gift

Dante immediately relocated Sophia back to the impenetrable luxury mansion. He initiated a total blackout, plunging his entire empire into a state of absolute, military-grade lockdown.
Elena met them in the grand marble hallway, her eyes sharp and completely devoid of panic. Dante handed her the terrifying photograph. Instead of breaking down, the resilient queen analyzed the image with brilliant, chilling composure.
She noticed a faint, microscopic reflection in the background of the photograph.
"This wasn't taken from the street, Dante," Elena stated coldly, pointing to the reflection. "This was taken from the old clock tower exactly three miles east of the estate. They are using military-grade surveillance equipment."
The sheer audacity of the enemy made Dante’s blood boil. They were being hunted by a highly funded, sophisticated phantom.
Dante summoned his top tactical commanders. "I want the clock tower dismantled," Dante growled, his deep voice vibrating with absolute, demonic authority. "I don't want them arrested. I want them erased from the face of the earth."
