Chapter 29 - the final embers

Dante did not send his men to Montreal. This was an absolute, deeply personal matter of family protection. He boarded his private, stealth-equipped jet under the cover of the continuing storm, flying directly into Canadian airspace.

He bypassed all traditional security, utilizing his massive global underworld connections to locate Lorenzo Rossi’s heavily fortified luxury penthouse.

Dante breached the high-rise apartment with terrifying, silent precision. He completely bypassed the sleeping bodyguards, moving like a shadow of absolute death. He kicked open the heavy oak doors of the master bedroom.

Lorenzo Rossi shot up in bed, his face draining of all color as he stared at the terrifying Chicago king standing at the foot of his bed.

"You tried to touch my family," Dante stated coldly, his voice echoing with the finality of a judge delivering a death sentence.

Lorenzo scrambled backward, begging hysterically for mercy, offering billions of dollars in exchange for his life. Dante didn't even blink. A single, silenced gunshot echoed in the luxurious room, instantly erasing the very last remnant of the Rossi bloodline.
