Chapter 26 - the steel trap

The intercepted message revealed that the assassins planned to infiltrate the luxury mansion during a massive, blinding midnight thunderstorm. They believed the heavy rain and thunder would mask their thermal signatures and silence their breach.

Dante made sure they were absolutely right. He deliberately ordered his perimeter guards to stand down, creating a terrifyingly perfect illusion of vulnerability.

The storm rolled in, violent and deafening. Lightning violently shattered the black sky. Four elite assassins, dressed in advanced stealth gear, smoothly scaled the high stone walls of the estate.

They moved through the dark gardens like true phantoms, entirely undetected by the deactivated sensors. They reached the heavy mahogany doors of the west wing, preparing to execute the king and his queen in their sleep.

But as the lead assassin picked the heavy brass lock and slowly pushed the doors open, the cinematic tension spiked into pure, apocalyptic horror.
