The grand lobby of Vanguard's flagship hotel was a cinematic masterpiece of modern wealth, featuring towering glass walls and pristine marble floors. Harper was personally reviewing the evening's gala arrangements, ensuring every guest felt profoundly welcomed.
Suddenly, the serene, classical music was violently interrupted by loud, aggressive shouting near the front reception desk. Four massive men in cheap suits were deliberately harassing a young, terrified concierge.
They were Viktor's enforcers, sent to cause highly public, humiliating scenes to destroy the hotel's flawless reputation. They demanded a luxury suite without a reservation, aggressively throwing their heavy luggage onto the polished counter.
Harper didn't flinch or call for security immediately. Radiating absolute, untouchable authority, she walked calmly across the lobby. She placed herself directly between her trembling employee and the towering, aggressive men.
