Chapter 8 - The Immediate Termination

The silence in the dining room was agonizingly heavy.
"Mr... Mr. Thorne," the General Manager stammered, his voice cracking as pure panic hijacked his nervous system. "I... I am so sorry. I didn't recognize you. We had no idea—"
"You didn't need to know who I was," Silas interrupted coldly. "You needed to know how to treat a patron with basic human dignity. Instead, you hired a clown who mocked a deaf elderly woman, and then you tried to throw her out."
Silas didn't yell. The sheer cinematic realism of his quiet fury was far more terrifying than any shout.
"You're both fired," Silas commanded, not taking his eyes off the two trembling men. "Clear out your lockers. If either of you are still on my property in exactly five minutes, I won't be calling the police to escort you out. I'll call my men."
"Please, sir, I need this job!" the arrogant waiter begged, tears of humiliation welling in his eyes.
"You have four minutes left," Silas replied, his voice entirely devoid of mercy.

The manager and the waiter didn't waste another second. Completely disgraced in front of the entire dining room, they turned and fled toward the kitchen, abandoning their pride to save their own lives.
👉 The parasites were banished, leaving Silas to turn his attention back to the one employee who actually deserved the job.
