Chapter 18 - the fury

The state-of-the-art security system of the Blackwell empire was instantly activated in full. Every traffic camera in the city was hacked to track the kidnappers' vehicle. Caleb stood in the control room, his face hardened.

"Found it yet, Marcus?" Caleb gritted his teeth. He couldn't bear the thought of that brave little girl enduring such terror.

"Target identified, sir. The car is moving toward the abandoned warehouses at the East harbor," Marcus reported swiftly. "We have blocked all routes. The elite force is ready."

"I will go personally," Caleb declared coldly, drawing a handgun hidden beneath his suit jacket. Marisol grabbed his hand, tears streaming down. "Please, sir... please save my baby." Caleb gently brushed her hand away, his eyes unwavering.

"I promised to protect you both. Anyone who breaks that promise will taste hell."
