Chapter 24 - the trump card

Just as Caleb was about to finish Victor off, a maniacal laugh echoed from the walkie-talkie dropped on the floor. "Did you think I was stupid enough not to have a backup plan, Blackwell?" A familiar voice rang out.

Caleb froze. It was the voice of Celeste, the wicked woman who was supposed to be rotting away in a psychiatric hospital. She had escaped and teamed up with Victor for revenge. Caleb's heart skipped a beat with a bad premonition.

"I am right in front of the gates of your precious daughter's school," Celeste hissed crazily. "Your security system is very good, but I know all its loopholes. The game is only truly beginning now!"

Caleb kicked the unconscious Victor hard, immediately rushing out to his car. "Marcus! Mobilize all forces to the school immediately!" He roared into the walkie-talkie. The car's speed was pushed to the maximum, tearing through the wind.

He felt as if his breath was suffocating. Celeste had nothing left to lose; she was a crazed beast willing to do the absolute worst. If anything happened to Daisy, he would never forgive himself.
