Caleb would never allow history to repeat itself. The safety of Marisol and Daisy was his number one priority. He immediately summoned Marcus, his loyal head of security, to establish an ironclad protective perimeter.
Dozens of the most elite bodyguards were disguised as drivers, teachers, and even janitors at Daisy's school. The family's transportation vehicles were upgraded with bulletproof glass.
Marisol noticed the changes in their schedule and anxiously questioned her husband. Caleb pulled her into an embrace, gently kissing her forehead. "Just a little trouble from old partners, but I'll take care of it soon."
Caleb didn't tell her the whole truth to avoid panicking her. He had promised to bring light to her and her daughter, and he swore to personally crush anyone who dared to bring darkness near their home.
Using his private intelligence network, Caleb quickly pinpointed the Black Dragon gang's hideout. Victor was gathering his forces at an abandoned harbor on the outskirts of the city, preparing for an attack.
