Chapter 23 - the raid

Under the pitch-black cover of night, dozens of the Blackwell Corporation's armored SUVs silently closed in on the harbor area. Caleb personally led the raid. The murderous intent radiating from him made even the most hardened mercenaries shiver.

The Black Dragons completely failed to anticipate Caleb's preemptive strike. When the warehouse doors were smashed down, a fierce battle erupted. Deafening gunshots tore through the quiet night, with gunfire and smoke flying everywhere.

Caleb moved with the calmness and precision of a machine of death. Anyone standing in his way was quickly taken down. He headed straight for the command room, where Victor was trying to gather documents to escape.

Panicking, Victor pointed his gun at Caleb, but he was too slow. A bullet struck squarely in his thigh, sending him collapsing onto the cold factory floor, groaning in pain. His arrogant smile vanished.

Caleb stepped forward, stomping hard on Victor's gun-holding hand. "You threatened my daughter," Caleb roared, his voice as cold as hell itself. "That was the last mistake of your miserable life."
