Chapter 58 - the final reckoning

Using the encrypted servers seized from the shipyard laboratory, Marcus Jr. successfully traced Dr. Vane's primary communication node. The elusive phantom was hiding in plain sight, operating out of a luxurious, high-security penthouse in Manhattan.
Julian didn't bring a strike team this time. He went entirely alone.
He bypassed the building's elite security system utilizing the foundation's immense technological resources. He stepped off the private elevator directly into Dr. Vane's opulent living room.
Dr. Vane, a sleek, arrogant man in his fifties, turned around in shock. He reached frantically for a hidden firearm under his desk.
"I wouldn't do that," Julian stated coldly, tossing a heavy, encrypted hard drive onto the glass table. "Every single detail of your global narcotics operation has just been anonymously forwarded to Interpol, the FBI, and the DEA."
Dr. Vane froze, his face draining of all color. "You can't do this. I have billions..."

"You have nothing," Julian corrected, his voice radiating the absolute, terrifying power of the Cross legacy. "Your accounts are frozen. Your mercenaries are in federal custody. And if you ever even look in the direction of my family again, I will not involve the police next time."
