Chapter 7 - The Syndicate's Justice

"Thank you, sir! Thank you!" Mrs. Gable sobbed hysterically, foolishly believing she was actually going to be allowed to walk away with her life. She turned on her heel and sprinted toward the grand staircase to pack her designer luggage.

Alessandro raised a single, tattooed hand in the air.

From the shadows of the adjoining dining room, four towering, heavily armed syndicate enforcers stepped seamlessly into the hallway.

"She doesn't get to pack," Alessandro corrected coldly. "Take the keys to her luxury car. Confiscate her phone, her jewelry, and her coat. Then drag her out the back service door and throw her into the street."

"No! Wait!" Mrs. Gable shrieked in sheer, unadulterated terror as the massive men violently grabbed her arms. "You can't do this! I have nowhere to go! It's freezing outside!"

"My father was freezing in his own home," Alessandro replied, his jaw locked in cold fury. "You have thirty seconds to get her off my property before I lose my temper and put her in the ground."

The guards didn't hesitate. They dragged the screaming, thrashing manager backward across the beautiful marble floors.
