To defeat a powerful federal senator, the twins needed undeniable, physical evidence. This time, hackers could not completely help them, because Vance was an old-generation man. He kept his dirtiest secrets locked in a physical safe.
Ruby utilized the underground intelligence network their father left them to monitor all of Vance's activities. It took two agonizing weeks to discover that Vance frequently visited an isolated, off-the-grid villa not registered under his name.
"He hides black financial ledgers and extortion audio recordings there," Ruby pointed to the satellite map projected on the large screen. "But this villa uses a closed-circuit security system. It cannot be hacked remotely. We must break in directly."
Sophie stared at the screen. Breaking into a senator's house carried massive legal risks. If caught, their conglomerate would collapse, and they would both go to federal prison for the rest of their lives.
