Chapter 95 - escaping death's door
"Drop your weapons!" A heavily armed mercenary squad appeared from the blind spots, tightly locking down all escape routes for the twins and the special task force. Vance had anticipated this move and secretly laid a trap.
But Sophie and Ruby never stepped into a battle without foreseeing all scenarios. Ruby smirked coldly, dropping an extremely powerful smoke grenade onto the marble floor. Thick white smoke flared up, completely obscuring their vision.
Taking advantage of the chaos, the special task force put on infrared goggles and returned fire. Deafening gunshots tore through the night. The twins dashed through the dense hail of bullets, crashed through a shattered glass window, and jumped out.
A bullet grazed Ruby's shoulder causing her to bleed, but they didn't stop. Sophie hugged the hard drive tightly to her chest, running toward the armored vehicle waiting at the edge of the forest. The vehicle sped off at lightning speed.

The next morning, the twins returned to their office, placing the hard drive on the desk. "The evidence is finally here," Ruby said, her eyes gleaming with ultimate victory.
