Chapter 93 - tracing the evidence

To defeat a powerful federal senator, the twins needed undeniable physical evidence. Remote hacking could not help them, because Vance was an old-generation politician. He kept his dirtiest secrets locked in a physical, heavily guarded safe.
Ruby utilized the deep intelligence network their father, Damien, had quietly cultivated decades ago. It took forty-eight agonizing hours to discover that Vance frequently visited an isolated, off-the-grid villa located deep in the woods.
"He hides his financial ledgers and extortion recordings there," Ruby analyzed, pointing to the satellite map projected on the large screen. "But this villa uses a closed-circuit security system. It cannot be hacked remotely. We must break in directly."
Sophie stared at the screen. Breaking into a senator's fortified house carried massive legal risks. If caught, their entire philanthropic empire would collapse instantly, and they would both face decades in federal prison.
