"Please! Spare my life!" Marcus whimpered pathetically, entirely abandoning his arrogant bravado as he stared into the cold, pitiless eyes of the executive. "I have federal immunity! You can't kill me!"
Adrian stood perfectly still, looking down at the weeping monster. "The streets taught me that mercy is a privilege," Adrian whispered, his deep voice carrying a dark, demonic promise. "And you have earned absolutely none today."
Sophie didn't pull the trigger. Death was far too simple for a corrupt politician who dared to threaten an innocent elderly woman.
"While my enforcers were breaching your walls, my cyber-team completely bypassed your federal servers," Sophie stated smoothly, raising her tablet. "Every single offshore account you possess has been systematically drained. I just forwarded your illegal extortion recordings and bribery ledgers to the FBI. You are permanently, hopelessly ruined."
