Chapter 6 - The Ultimate Reward

The chaotic, violent energy completely evaporated from the luxury restaurant.
Adrian instructed his security team to politely dismiss the stunned wealthy diners, offering to cover their bills. Within minutes, the massive, beautiful room was completely quiet, save for Adrian, Sophie, and Mrs. Ellis.
Sophie was still standing near the table, holding her purse. She expected to just walk out and start looking for a new job.
Adrian walked slowly toward her.
The terrifying, cold mafia boss completely vanished. He looked at Sophie with profound, overwhelming respect.
"You stood up to a tyrant to protect an old woman you barely knew," Adrian said softly, his deep voice filled with genuine awe. "You lost your job over twelve dollars, and you didn't even blink. I have never seen integrity like that."
Sophie swallowed hard. "She reminded me of my grandmother. I couldn't let her be humiliated."
Adrian reached into his pocket and pulled out a solid black titanium keycard. He held it out to her.
"Your job as a waitress ended the second you dropped that apron," Adrian vowed, the absolute power of his massive wealth backing every syllable. "I just fired the manager. I want you to take her place. I am elevating you to General Manager of the Linden Room. I am quadrupling your salary, giving you full benefits, and you will have absolute authority over this staff. Nobody will ever steal from you again."
Tears of pure, unadulterated relief spilled down Sophie’s cheeks.
Adrian turned back to Mrs. Ellis, offering her a warm, beautiful smile. "And you, Mrs. Ellis, will never pay for a meal in this city again."

The dark shadows of cruelty were permanently banished from the restaurant, replaced by an empire built on absolute loyalty, undeniable courage, and perfect justice.
If you were Sophie, would you have demanded Victoria apologize before she was arrested, or was completely bankrupting her the absolute perfect revenge?
