Chapter 10 - the fury

Vance stood tall in the middle of the dark alley, facing six heavily armed hitmen. He didn't flinch; the murderous aura radiating from the heavily tattooed man made them hesitate.

The leader pointed his gun at him, but before he could pull the trigger, Vance lunged forward with the speed of a wild beast. A fatal flying kick landed squarely on his chest, disarming him in the blink of an eye.

An incredibly fierce hand-to-hand battle erupted. Vance utilized every brutal survival skill he had learned from the underworld. His strikes were fast, powerful, and carried absolute lethality.

Despite a knife grazing his bicep, Vance did not fall. The image of little Abby's innocent smile and the red heart on his cheek acted as an invisible source of strength, invigorating him.

In less than five minutes, all six hitmen were lying scattered on the ground, groaning in pain. Vance stood panting, blood dripping from his arm, but his posture remained proud and unyielding.
