Chapter 15 - the sacred vow

A year after the storm, a small, incredibly cozy wedding overflowing with love was held right in their backyard garden. There were no high-society guests, only close friends.

Sarah wore a pristine white wedding dress, smiling radiantly like an angel. Vance stood waiting at the altar, no longer wearing his old denim jacket but dressed in an incredibly elegant gray suit.

Little Abby took on the role of the flower girl. She wore a light blue dress, carrying a basket of deep red roses in her arms. Abby tossed petals down the aisle, a bright smile always on her lips.

As Sarah stepped up, Vance took her hand, his eyes brimming with deep appreciation and gratitude. They exchanged sacred vows witnessed by the heavens, the earth, and their most beloved ones.

"I don't have a perfect past, but I promise to use my entire life to give you and our child the most peaceful future," Vance said resoundingly, slipping the wedding ring onto Sarah's finger.
