Chapter 15 - the nightmare

The three remaining thugs roared and lunged into the attack simultaneously. They thought that with the advantage of numbers, they could easily crush this man. But they had picked the wrong opponent.

Damon did not step back. He delivered a sweeping roundhouse kick with his heavy work boot, completely shattering the knee joint of the second man. The sharp crack of breaking bone echoed through the quiet space.

The third man swung his baseball bat straight at his ribs. Damon raised his left arm to block, using his steel-hard ulna bone to stop the blow, and punched straight into the bridge of his nose with his right hand, sending him falling backward.

The last man panicked, dropped his weapon, and turned to run for his life toward the SUV. However, Damon glided forward with the speed of a leopard, grabbed him tightly by the collar, and slammed him to the ground.

The entire battle took place in less than thirty seconds. The four aggressive thugs were now lying scattered on the asphalt, groaning in extreme agony and sheer terror.

Damon stepped forward, placing the toe of his boot on the last man's neck. His eyes were as cold as a block of ice. "Who sent you here?" he hissed, increasing the pressure on his chest making it impossible for him to breathe.
