Chapter 25 - the invisible phantom

The old chemical plant stood isolated in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by barbed wire fences and watchtowers with strictly stationed armed guards. High-powered searchlight systems constantly swept every nook and cranny, not letting even an ant slip through.
However, these security systems were mere child's play to a Tier 1 former special operative. Damon moved as smoothly as a black stream in the dark night, completely blending into the patches of shadow. He glided past the walls without making a single sound.
The guard on the tower was smoking, absentmindedly looking out. Suddenly, an iron hand swung up from behind, locking tightly around his throat. With just one clean arm-twisting motion, the guard collapsed unconscious before he could even let out a cry for help. Damon's execution was incredibly precise.
He rappelled through a skylight on the roof, softly landing on the crossbeams inside the warehouse. From his high vantage point, his eyes of death swept across the entire area. Evan was tied tightly to a chair in the middle of the room, his face bruised and bloody.
