Chapter 10 - The Ultimate Humiliation

The destruction of the arrogant kickboxing champion was swift, bloodless, and entirely absolute.
As Blake desperately tried to yank his arm back and recover his balance, Damon’s calloused hands shot forward like striking vipers. Moving with impossible, terrifying speed, the former Tier 1 operator trapped Blake’s extended arm, applied a devastating, agonizing joint lock, and effortlessly swept the champion’s leg completely out from under him.
Without throwing a single, dramatic punch, Damon forced the towering, muscular twenty-nine-year-old directly face-down onto the bright blue training mat.
Damon pinned the champion entirely to the floor, applying absolute, excruciating pressure to Blake's shoulder joint that completely immobilized him. The entire Cedar Falls gym plunged into a dead, breathless silence.
The toxic, arrogant ego of the five-time state champion was permanently, undeniably shattered in front of forty stunned parents. He was completely helpless, trapped under the knee of a quiet local plumber wearing faded jeans.
"You are going to refund every parent in this room, and you are going to close this gym," Damon whispered quietly, his deep voice carrying directly into Blake's ear, laced with a cold, absolute promise of destruction. "If you ever put your hands on a child again, I will break both of your arms."
Damon smoothly released the submission hold. He calmly stood up, turned his broad back on the defeated, groaning bully, and walked over to his folding chair.
He put his thick flannel overshirt back on, laced up his battered leather work boots, and walked straight out the heavy glass doors into the bright afternoon sunlight.
He found Evan waiting quietly by his old Chevy truck, holding the keys.

Damon smiled warmly, the lethal operator entirely vanishing as he pulled his son into a deep, proud embrace, finally proving to the thirteen-year-old boy that true strength wasn't about dominating the weak; it was about having the absolute power to destroy monsters, and the incredible discipline to simply walk away.
What would you do if the quietest person in your town turned out to be an elite military operator?
