Chapter 21 - a new turning point
Five years passed, and Cedar Falls suddenly faced hidden turmoil, transforming from a peaceful town. Evan, now twenty-four years old, had officially become an outstanding patrol police officer. He carried within him youthful enthusiasm and the extraordinary bravery inherited from his great father.
One late night on patrol, Evan spotted a suspicious truck parked behind the harbor warehouse. Strangers were stealthily transporting heavy crates. His professional intuition told him these were not ordinary goods. With sharp observation skills, Evan realized they were an incredibly dangerous arms smuggling gang.
Instead of rushing in hastily, he calmly pulled out his radio to call for backup. But before he could press the button, a dark shadow lunged from behind, knocking the radio out of his hand. Evan quickly spun around, stepping back into a solid defensive stance.
