Chapter 16 - the european vacation
Far from the pathetic mess of her son and daughter-in-law, Evelyn's life was now more brilliant and bright than ever. The refunded twenty-seven thousand dollars brought her a wonderful opportunity.
Evelyn didn't put that money in the bank anymore. She realized she had spent her entire youth sacrificing for others, and now it was time for her to live for herself. She decided to book a trip around Europe.
The image of a sad, aging widow had completely vanished. Instead, Evelyn appeared gorgeous and radiant in Paris, Rome, and Switzerland. She wore exquisite silk dresses, enjoying coffee under the crystal-clear sky.
She made friends with other wonderful women from all over the world, visiting museums and dining at the most luxurious restaurants with them. A radiant smile was always blooming on her lips, an absolutely complete freedom.
Whenever she had free time, she posted her beautiful photos on social media. Not to brag, but to capture the most beautiful moments of the life that had once been cruelly stripped away from her.
